In between a full-time job for the federal government and full-time graduate school at Georgetown University, sometimes a girl needs a vacation! There’s really nothing like a short flight to change one’s perspective. So how do you pack for a refreshing weekend trip where you can look and feel your best, but not have to contribute to your future as a hunchback by carrying excessively heavy luggage? You pack according to a theme. That way, you not only cut your time spent packing in half, you also have a legitimate wardrobe while on location. The theme for my weekend in South Beach, Miami was draping.
I did this in my last travel series for ski inspired fashion during a weekend getaway to Vermont. This shoot is right by the Sugar Cane Raw Bar restaurant in Miami. Delicious photos of the food and myself are below. I hope my South Beach, Miami wardrobe will leave you feeling inspired to take your next weekend getaway – soon.
