THE LOCATION: The Humpback Bridge in Covington, Virginia is one of the most quaint places I have ever been. This was a “must see” during my weekend getaway to the Hot Springs of Virginia. Opened in 1857, it is one of the last remaining covered bridges in the United States that is higher in the middle than at both ends. With each step across this charming bridge, you can’t help but feel like you are walking in the passageway of time itself.
THE LOOK: It is a known fact that my legs ache to come out when it gets bright and sunny, when summer lingers into the fall. Nothing comforts them more than a pair of strappy sandals, when bare. I have adored the beading and embroidery on these sandals since I first discovered them in a market in Beijing in 2009. They make my feet feel like they are on a pedestal, and they can’t get enough.
