THE LOCATION: On my birthday last month, I was treated to a beautiful celebratory steak: this is in fact my annual tradition. Although I don’t consider myself a food blogger, I can’t help but share the most exquisite of experiences I have involving an empty plate and a full smile. For the record, this is my 24th post and I have only shared a single photo of macaroons thus far. My caliber is lobster ravioli and Yankees chicken and waffle sliders. This time I was at Bobby Van’s in DC for my birthday steak. Although it was too dark to take any food photos, my dress shined plenty for a special night like this.
THE LOOK: I found my birthday dress in Queens, New York. This flapper inspired ensemble is one of the many fun and unique pieces I have from Queens in my closet. The more I have the closer to home I feel. Earrings are by Lauren Conrad and are a beloved birthday gift. Also a plus: this dress is quite stretchy, so no bites were spared at Bobby Van’s. What better way to celebrate a birthday than with decadent food and traditional garb?
