This fall essential tan leather bag (shop similar ones below!) fits enough items for a fashion-worlds end.
1. Blog Branded Business Cards
Most important: Super custom and professional business cards help you stand out at a blogger saturated fashion week and show that you mean, well, business!!
2. Spare Flats
This one is a no-brainer. Mixing and mingling, and giving models on the catwalk the “up and down look” takes a toll on the pins. Having a back up pair of cute flats for travel was a life saver. Also, Pom Pom Trend: 1, Sonya: 0.
These days over 75% of my capturing is done on my phone, so it truly is an investment. Being able to capture high quality photos, videos and slow-mo footage throughout NYFW, on and off the runway, is the whole reason for being there in the first place. To share your experiences with the rest of the world!
4. Insulated Water Bottle
This is my first insulated water bottle and I love using it! Filled with cool water, it kept me hydrated between shows. Filled with almond lavender lattes – courtesy of Papyrus – it kept me toasty and energized through the 9pm Jarel Zhang show, before my 11PM train back to D.C.
As Carrie Bradshaw once said, “When I first moved to New York and I was totally broke, sometimes I bought Vogue instead of dinner. I found it fed me more.” First look at next season’s collections did the same for me, but it helped to have a couple of protein dense granola bars when it came time to shuttle back to Penn Station for my late night train back to DC.
Between season changes and cold catwalk theaters, a quick dab of argan oil does a great job of soothing my lips or dry skin. It’s not greasy so I even use it on my face when I need to! (Always buy organic.)
